I think the likely reaction of mainstream/active audiences to our OTS would be negative due to it being an arty styled film and not something you would commonly see in a cinema such as Odeon or Vue which plays big hollywood films daily. Our target market is a niche market so we would not expect people who enjoy mainstream films to enjoy it as it would not meet their expectations or generic pleasures such as big action packed scenes with large amounts of killings and fast expensive cars which most hollywood films contain. I think the reaction to niche markets will be positive as it is within their taste of films and they enjoy watching films which are arty without all the big explosions and effects which our OTS fits in to as it is simple and holds what they enjoy within a film which i found out doing research and asking people who enjoy smaller production films so instead of going for a mainstream cinema we chose to distribute our film in a picture/arthouse cinema as it helps deliver audience needs more because it is more suited to what they enjoy and like as well as the experience of the different type of cinema which they prefer. We have learnt alot from our audience feedback which we got by playing our OTS to our classmates and recording them watching it with questions we prepared for them to answer at the end, from this we heard the aspects of our OTS which were positive and also the negative aspects which i went on to change by editing these aspects out as we agreed with the feedback from our classmates that those areas did not work which were a sound of rain fall and thunder playing when the title is on screen and also the length it took Ethan to walk down the road.
